Like in any developed country you have a wide choice of companies renting cars. Visiting all of them to get a price or conditions of hire will be an impossible task. Probably the most convenient way will be to find the best price and conditions will be via the Internet. See the links listed below.

requirements and conditions for renting a car ...

  • The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 18 years, but it can be higher and depends on the company and the state/country legislation.
  • Maximum age to rent a vehicle is around 75 years, but it can be higher and depends on the rental company.
  • In general, other individuals may be listed as additional drivers provided they met all conditions and complete an additional driver form.
  • Valid driver's license written in English which will not expire during the lease for at least 12 months. The driving license must be a full licence one and must be issued from a country which is agreed by the company renting the car and the Australian authorities.
  • Parking tickets or any fines are the responsibility of the renter.
  • Unless you rent a 4WD, you must use the car on sealed roads only.
